Hello Salem Residents that have shown interest in donating much needed items to our PE program that sees 375+ students each week, as well as items used by staff.
I will be sending a letter to your place of business with a detailed list and the website that is best to order from, until then here are the needs:
FOAM INDOOR SOCCER BALLS - 30
INDOOR GOALS - 2
'OMNIKIN' BALL -1 (very large lightweight ball, can be held in one hand by a first grader, but it is taller than they are!)
HOCKEY STICKS - 30
HOCKEY PUCKS - 30
TENNIS RACKETS - 30
TENNIS BALLS - A BUCKET!
ROLLER RACERS - 6 (like a seat shaped scooter with handbars)
BOWLING PINS-HEAVY DUTY PLASTIC REGULATION SIZE
-6 SETS
OPTIONAL: 6 ELEM. LEVEL BOWLING BALLS
4 LARGEST POSSIBLE GARBAGE BINS WITH ATTACHED LID IF POSSIBLE - (used to store equipment, for now I use gunny sacks that are in sad shape.)
Last: $200.oo-PAYS FOR 'READ' TEACHER POSTERS TO BE PRINTED UP via Costco(each teacher is featured in a very nice professional looking poster holding/reading books). These are posted at many schools throughout our district. It is taking me approx. 45-75 minutes per poster on free time, via photoshop, a lot of fun!! I love technology!
This list totals approx. $1200.00+, not including several much needed main building items.
These items last for years if cared for properly.
These are the basics, other items can make PE so much fun!!
Our entire school will benefit from your businesses generosity of a donation.
We will be celebrating 100 years as well, this coming September.
The public is invited in September, to a newly refurbished school, for a tour, and celebration!
